Nicotine Strength: “6mg”

Definition: This specific e-liquid contains 6mg of nicotine. It has nothing to do with the Vegetable Glycerin (VG) and Propylene Glycol (PG) content of the liquid – this will me detailed elsewhere, usually as 50/50, 60/40, 65/35, 70/30, 80/20, 85/15 or 90/10 – which is the percentage of Vegetable Glycerin and Propylene Glycol contained within the e-liquid – 50VG/50PG meaning 50% Vegetable Glycerin and 50% Propylene Glycol, etc.

Vegetable Glycerin (VG) is a thick, sweet liquid. VG produces luscious clouds of vapour. VG also imparts a sweeter taste to your e-liquid.

Propylene Glycol (PG) is a much thinner tasteless liquid. PG produces more of a “throat hit” than VG does, which simulates the feel of smoking better.

Nicotine percentages vary but most e-liquid will fall under one of the following strengths: 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg.

Both Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) are considered safe and acceptable substance to be ingested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In fact both substances are part of many types of food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
